Vent-free for Bedroom

Q: I want to customize a chimenia for my bath room that burns propane. it need to be a vent free system. Can you make suggestions?

A:
All vent-free heaters, including gas logs, are certified to the national standard ANSI Z21.11.2.  The maximum BTU input allowed under this standard is 40,000 BTU/hour, with two exceptions:
1) Bedrooms - no more that 10,000 BTU/hour; and
2) Bathrooms - no more that 6,000 BTU/hour.

The lowest BTU unit we make is 23,000 BTU/hour.  Because of the cost of development and certification, a custom vent-free designis not feasible.

Unless you can find on the market a certified vent-free unit of 6,000 or less BTU/hour, you will need to alter your desires.
