If my infrared burner pops, what can I do?

Try removing the burner (with both hands), pull up on the burner near the rear of the grill, it should pop up and slid outward towards the rear of the grill.  Slightly shake the burner upside down over a trash can.  While the burner is out, clean out the orifices.  These can be found in the hole where the burner tube enters into the firebox.  If the burner ports on the ceramic burner are clogged the burner can pop or have a low flame which can lead to a crack in the ceramic burner tile.   The holes could be cleared by using a small drill bit to poke through each hole that is blocked.  Once that is completed place the burner back into the grill and allow to burn for approximately 20-30 minutes.

NOTE: Always perform a minimum 5 minute burn off - the infrared burner should be completely cherry orange, if any dark spots are visible allow for longer burn off.

If the burner tile is cracked the burner will need to be replaced.  You can purchase a replacement from our on-line store at: www.rasmussen.biz   If you have any questions, please email to:  info@rasmussen.biz
